I haven’t been shy about my thoughts on the whole love your body thing. Of course I think it’s great in theory but to be honest, most of us have struggled with our bodies for years, decades even, so just deciding one random Tuesday to start loving your body can feel like a mighty big leap; a leap that our perfectionist brains tell us we have to nail and when we don’t love our bodies all the time, we then hate on ourselves even more.

Body love takes time, longer than we ever think, and while we’re working towards that love I think it’s far more useful to cultivate loyalty for ourselves right now.
