The most important (and last) thing to do before 2015 ends.

It’d be a gross understatement to say it hasn’t been a hell of a year. For everyone on the planet. And for many of us 2015 cannot be over soon enough. We’re ready for the new, the fresh, the something, hell, anything, to move us forward from where we’ve been to where we want to be.

Goodness do I get it and I’m right there with you. I LOVE forward motion, and double down on that love every time life gets uncomfortable. And though I know we’re eager to move on as quickly as the new year’s bubbly can carry us, a touch of the sweetness in the new is lost if we don’t first honor the old and all that’s passed.

So before we kiss 2015 goodbye, I want you to think of the good and tell me, what are you proud of this year?

What did you face that you thought you could never face? What did you accomplish that had always seemed like a dream and you turned it into a reality? Where did you fall down, what did you learn and how did you rise back up again?

What are the little things you did all year long that you NEVER take credit for?

Before you jump into 2016 to start a new year, first, honor yourself in this one.

Let yourself be proud for moving through 2015 with both grace and grit. You changed, you grew, you stared down crazy ass shit and everything that happened in 2015 has made you stronger, wiser and more connected to YOU for the year ahead.

2016 is going to be awesome. Awesome not because it’s a chance to start over but rather awesome because we’re still here, ALIVE and have been given the gift of more time on this earth to love and grow and feel and share and impact and connect and express and yes, love even more.

If you feel inspired, I’d be honored to know what you’re proud of looking back on 2015. Email me and let me know.

Lastly, thank you for opening this and for being one of my people, whether you’ve been reading for years or this is your first email. Your presence means the world to me and looking back on 2015, I’m proud to have you in my community.

Lots of love and I cannot wait to adventure through 2016 together.

Happy New Year!
